Q :: Why should I join the Shrine?
A :: In short, to have a good time and support the greatest philanthropy in the world - the Shriners Childrens' Hospitals and Burns Institutes.

Q :: How much does it cost?
A :: $100.00 for the Shrine. This can be paid by cash, check, or credit card. It is a necessary to have previously joined a Masonic Lodge and either the York or Scottish Rite. There are fees connected with each of these and they vary depending on where the individual joins.

Q :: How much time will it take?
A :: One full day for the Shrine. This is usually on a Saturday and there may be social activities the previous day. Additional time is required for Masonic Lodge and this varies from a total of two days to several evenings.

Q :: Will I have to memorize a lot of things.
A :: In each of the Bodies (organizations) there are words and signs that must be known in order to prove your membership. Additional learning is optional and more memorizing may be required in some Masonic Lodges. In any case it is not difficult and has been done by most who have joined.
