Orthopaedic Care

Shriners Hospitals for Children has been a leader in pediatric orthopaedic care since 1922, with the largest full-time staff of pediatric orthopaedic surgeons in the United States. Shriners Hospitals is dedicated to providing medical and rehabilitative services to children with congenital anomalies and conditions, problems resulting from orthopaedic injuries and diseases of the neuromusculoskeletal system.

Many of the children served by the Naja Shrine Hospital Division are treated at Shriners Hospital for Children-Twin Cities in Minneapolis, MN.

Burns

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a leader in pediatric burn care, and has been dedicated to research and treatment since the 1960s. Patients receive treatment for burn injuries and related scarring, along with physical rehabilitation and emotional support.

Four of the Shriners Hospitals for Children specialize in burn care, and the Naja Shrine Hospital Division sends patients to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati for burn treatment and rehabilitation. )

Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

Shriners Hospitals for Children opened the nation’s first spinal cord injury rehabilitation centers for children in the 1980s. Patients receive a range of services to help recover from spinal cord injuries, and researchers are continuing to study and advance rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injuries.

The Naja Shrine Hospital Division sends patients to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Chicago for treatment.

Cleft Lip and Palate

Patients may receive a variety of services for children with clefts of the lip or palate, including surgery, orthodontics, and hearing, speech and psychological therapies. The Naja Shrine Hospital Division sends area patients to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Chicago for treatment for this condition.
